BIO

Born in Milan, Valentina Grilli obtained a degree with full marks in Scenography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts on 2007.

​

After being graduated, her artistic and working path moved towards the fashion field: as a visual she organized the window dressings for Loro Piana and Roberto Cavalli and, as a designer, she created textures and fabrics for Patrizia Pepe from 2007 to 2011.

​

Valentina is currently learning the technique of Flemish painting by the greatest Italian contemporary artists; thanks to their training and to such ancient painting techniques, Valentina is amplifying the expressiveness of her work.

​

Inspired by Albrecht Dürer, Jacopo Ligozzi and Maurizio Bottoni, Valentina Grilli's attention has recently turned to the animal world, an evocation of her childhood trips between the Apennine mountains and the African Savanna.

​

Never separated from the inner world of the artist, her subjects are always integrated with customary metaphysical dimensions.
